As we march towards a completion date, things are really starting to ‘take shape’ for our Napkin House. Most of the scaffolding is down and the walls are up. The building team are almost done and it’ll soon be time for the painter to get started and the rest of the sub trades to ‘ do their thing’! Lots of site visits at the moment, not least to enjoy time on the new deck – especially lovely on these crisp winter days, bathed in sun. We also caught up with the team from Venluree Blinds to finalise window coverings and the fabulous team at Kitchen and Interior Co for a first peek at the new kitchen, laundry and *gasp* walk in wardrobe!

Ceiling and walls are gibbed and ready for painting. Cue nervous wait to see what final colour choices actually look like. Sky lights in bathroom and bedroom filling us with joy.
Realising that very soon we’ll get to spend our time sitting on the deck, taking in the stunning scenery is a little overwhelming. Feeling very lucky and very thankful and a little bit shaky when we stand too close to the edge (it’s quite high up).

When the scaffolding comes down, you really start to get a feel for what the final house will look like. And for Shane, all those months of drawing and adjusting and fretting are done and he gets to celebrate just how clever he is. *beams proudly*
Nipped in to see the Kitchen team and see how the build is coming along. Shane worries about handle placement, LED strips and the finer details. I worry about whether I counted all the shoes and will they all still fit???

The house looks lovely, get the guy on the deck planting some trees and shrubs for you
