It’s hard to get very excited about retaining walls. But they’re an expensive necessity when you’re living on a steep slope, made up mainly of loose clay. This one was a job we couldn’t tackle ourselves so it was time for a call to the boys from Brix. Cue a week made up mostly of timber being sawn, holes being dug, clay being flung all over the driveway and trucks getting stuck trying to drive out. Very happy with the final result and now just 57 metres to back fill. By hand. With a wheelbarrow. Yays.
